What to Bring

The Irish Hooley Music Festival is held within the friendly confines of a City of Dubuque Park.
All City Of Dubuque Park System rules are enforced during our festival.
To ensure the best possible experience for all, please act responsibly, have a designated driver and observe the following:

  • No Alcohol Allowed to leave the Designated Festival Grounds
  • No Bikes, Skateboards, Scooters
  • No Boom Boxes, Noise Makers, Megaphones
  • No Carry-Ins (Coolers, Bottles, Cans, Food, etc.)
  • No Drugs
  • No Fireworks, Flammables, Explosives, Grills, etc.
  • No Obscene or Vulgar Clothing is Allowed
  • No Pets (Except Service Animals)
  • No Soliciting, Signs or Leafletting
  • No Smoking (Except in Designated Areas)
  • No Weapons
  • No Whining

Please Bring:
Hats, Jackets, Small Purses or Bags, Sunscreen, Small Umbrellas, Blankets, Smiles.

The Kilkennys

The Kilkennys

The Kilkennys are an Irish traditional music and ballad band , known for their energetic performances and dynamic arrangements, carrying on the legacy of bands like The Dubliners and The Clancy Brothers. They formed in 1998 among schoolmates and gained recognition for their powerful live shows. The band is composed of founding members Davey Cashin (vocals, mandolin, banjo, guitar, whistles), Tommy Mackey (bass, acoustic guitar, vocals), and Mick Martin (bodhran, uilleann pipes, low whistles, guitar, vocals). They chose the name “The Kilkennys” in 2008, after their home city of Kilkenny.  
Ballyheigue
Ballyheigue Meet the band: Ballyheigue is a six-piece Irish band specializing in traditional instrumental and vocal Irish songs. Comprised of family members Jim, Alison, and Emily Ott, with Carl Droessler, Rob McCullough and Seth Enz. They have played at various locations around the tri-state area.

Meet The Lads: Back in 1998  The Lads  were born. It’s collection of local talent that enjoys celebrating their Irish and American roots. Featuring vocals, piano, guitar, whistles and the fiddle, The Lads play favorite Irish pub melodies, ballads and rebels songs. Should you stop down, be prepared to sing along with this group of Irish partiers because they believe the real joy of a Hooley is best realized when all are engaged and active. So bring your thirst for fun and be prepared to raise your voices and bevies to all that is great about being an Irish American!

He has played sold-out venues, festivals, and theaters throughout the United States, Canada, England, Scotland and Ireland. At his best on stage, Rory captivates his audiences with charisma, passion for the songs, poetry, history, humor and skilled musicianship. The love of song runs deep in the family. Through more than a quarter century of plying his craft, Rory has established himself as one of the leading forces in the song tradition of Irish music… and so… the tradition continues.
